Am looking for a pub to meet friends in town, there'll be about 6 of us, mid 20s from all over the country, somewhere fun and lively, its not til mid january cos everyone is tied up round xmas so it'll be a late xmas meet up!
Somewhere easy to find as some of us aren't overly familiar with Dublin!!

    Thanks in advance :)

Palace bar would work. Its just as you go from Wesmoreland st into Temple Bar.

You could try the Porterhouse in Temple Bar or Nassau Street.

Messrs Maguire on the Quays is always great fun. Also like Bruxelles off Grafton St, the Baggot Inn (Baggot St) and Cafe en Seine (Dawson St). Porterhouse is a great option too though

Yeah I like Messrs Maguire too. Pity they stopped doing their house brews.

Porterhouse is over-rated IMO, I would say Sheehans on Chatham St. Great Guinness, great atmosphere, and you can have a conversation without having to shout over music blaring.
