Does anyone know the most cost effective way of insuring two vehicles - a car and a van?

The car policy has a full No Claims Discount.

123.ie don't insure commercial vehicles without at least a one year bonus.

Thanks in advance for any help.

insuremyvan.ie do a "mirror" No claim bonus , Ie whatever bonus you have built up on a car will be used as on the van without actually using the NCB .

Aviva do mirror as well but it might be more expensive, but worth a check.

insuremyvan.ie are the crowd to go with. I'm with them for my commercial van insurance and were a good few hundred cheaper than the rest and they also do car insurance as well and were cheaper than everyone else as well for that

About to go with insuremyvan.ie for a commercial Jeep insurance policy...

They are the cheapest around by some distance. I have a private car insured with 123.ie (but as some other posters said they don't insure commercial vehicles). Might switch everything to IMV next year.

Just one question ... has anybody had any experiences with IMV when it comes to claims etc.

Be interested to see if they are as good then... (when you really need them.)

Have only ever had one claim, it was with PMPA/AXA (They have physical offices in buildings in most big towns !!!) and I must say they were top notch to deal with...... but just too expensive nowdays :-(

    Hi Littlevillage,

let me point out firstly that I work for www.insuremyvan.ie

if you have a claim on your car/van/home insurance you deal directly with the insurer through their dedicated claims department in the exact same way as you did before when insured with Axa.

The brokers itself handles all other aspects of the policy (ie. issuing documentation, amendments to policy, renewals etc etc)
