    Michael Ryan Retires

I've only been in this country for a few years, bit even I can't imagine Nationwide without him.

    Enjoy your retirement Sir!

Programme's gone to the dogs since they stopped ringing those Cork bells at the end of it and started telling us how wonderful Gala shops are.

One of the last RTE broadcasters who never let his ego get in the way of the people he was talking to. Always listening to your guests is the trick. He will be missed.

I hope some other radio station or TV3 snaps him up.
He's a gent and has a great presence, personality and voice.

I agree with Biggins, Michael has a wonderful voice, it is a pleasure to listen to him. I used to love the way he would say things like:

"We are here in the County Clare"

"Goodbye from the County Galway" :D
