Looking for a little star decoration for my baby

    Hey there,
I'm hoping to find somewhere that would sell a star-shaped metal decoration that would be suitable for engraving. Our new baby's name is Seren which means "star", so we'd like to get a nice little piece that she can keep for years to come.

Any ideas where I could buy something like this? Or if anyone knows of someone who'd be interested in having a go at making it?

    Thank you!

    Seren. <googles> Ah, Welsh..........that's ok <puts rant away>.

Um. Any jewelers should be able to (sell and) engrave this. Depending on the size of the star and what font. I wouldn't bother going to those kiosks in the likes of Ilac Shopping Center. Although, you could peruse. Worth a shot.

    Shhh, it's a great name!

I'm hoping to get one that looks somewhat rustic, hand made so I don't know if a jewellers would typically have this. Ideally it'd be around 5-10 cm big too :)

Have you had a look at Newbridge Silverware?
They do have some nice star decorations but I'm not quite sure if they are "rustic" enough and what you are looking for?

I know Tierney's Giftshop in St Stephen's Green and the Iliac Centre stock their decorations.

Might also be worth checking these lads out. they might be able to manufacture a star for you. They are based in tallaght!
