Hey, I was thinking of going to nerja in late january and was just wondering your thoughts? Weather Wise it seems that there are a few days of rain but in general a lot of the time the sun is out and it's between 14-20degrees celcius. Has anyone been here this time of the year before that can comment on this?and also because it's off peak will there be much in the line of restaurants open?
    Thanks for your help.

I lived in the south of Spain. January and February are cold, especially at night when it is every bit as cold as here in Ireland. The daytime should have some sunshine up to 4pm. You would need heavy clothing for night time.

The Canary Islands would be a better bet this time of year.
