Facebook Timeline/Location Tag Question

I just started using Timeline on Facebook and need to remove a location from the map. I was checked into this location by a friend at the start of this month but want to be removed. I cannot seem to find a way to do this. If I cannot remove the check in can I at least delete the location shown on the new map thing?

First you should adjust your privacy settings to prevent this happening again.

You should be use the menu in the top right corner of the post. Hover and you'll see an edit/remove tag option. Just make sure that you are removing the tag and not just removing the post from your timeline.

Not sure how long it takes the map to adjust.
