    Hi.

Basically when I pull up the wireless networks I can connect to in the list there is one with this name "ImHackingYourPCRightNow". Never seen it before and it disappears and reappears from the list. It looks like any other network, saying the signal is poor.

Is this something to worry about or someone having a laugh with their network name?

    Cheers!

Having a laugh by the looks of it!

People do other creepy stuff with bluetooth phone names too. :)

I'd say the person that has that that name actually got hacked. I doubt your at any risk, but you should be using a good network key with WPA2 security.

Thanks. It only had me worried because I foolishly fell for that youtube survey scam the other day (i know im a complete dumb ass, I dont even know how i ended up filling it in, complete brain fart) where they get you to fill out a survey only to use your details for spam.

The only thing I gave was my mobile number so I had been expecting to be getting spam texts there, none so far, fingers crossed. Have since read that people have given postcodes and addresses and such.

You're unlikely to get spam texts from something online while you're in Ireand. Most online scams are from Eastern Europe, Asia and the Middle East and traget America. They won't pay the very high rates to text Irish Mobiles unless the scam is run from Ireland.
