Shower Pump

    Hi,
I'm currently having problems with the hot water in my house. It's heated by the immersion/gas which works no problem, but when the tank is filled with hot water the pump has trouble pumping the hot water out and all I get is cold water. The pump and most of the plumbing is all new so I really don't know what's wrong.

Any quick way to fix this or should I just get used to lukewarm showers..?

It sounds like your pump might be connect wrong. Can you take pictures of where your pump is connected to the hot tank.

I am guessing that when the water is hot its expanding and somehow the pump is pulling in air instead of water.

If the hot water gets too hot it can sometimes prevent the pump from working correctly , can you get a temperature reading of your hot water , have you got a cylinder stat to control the temperature , have you noticed tjat your water is very hot

How would you go about lowering the temperature of your water? I think mine is too hot and burning out the pump.

.. hold on a while now , first things first . Has it ever worked right? Is this a new problem?

It works fine sometimes. This will be the second time I've had to get it changed in 5years. It'll work for a while then it'll make this buzzing noise and a burning smell. I have to turn it off, and then plug it back in.

If it works fine sometimes it has nothing to do with temprature, ur pump is too weak for d job n replacing it with d same type head will result in it burning out again n again . Ur plumber needs to fit a stronger pump.
