England have called him to the Lions squad again and for all you conspiracy guys out there have a look at this.

    http://www.thenational.ae/sport/uae-sport/england-cricket-team-to-start-pakistan-preparations-early-in-uae

''England will take on an associate nations XI''

So first you would think Boyd is either going to play for the associates or go on the Lions tour which both clash.

Then you look at the four Irish squad players selected to play for the associate XI, Porterfield, Dockrell, Stirling, Rankin.

All players who people feel could be on English radar, and some who are on their radar.

So is this England just making another nasty approach to damage the future of Irish cricket, by looking at our most talented players in the longer form of the game.

It seems quite a coincidence that the players selected are always in England's radar, and for example Johnston wasn't asked, or Joyce or Kevin O'Brien..

Rankin is wearing the 3 lions already http://t.co/zIb60jaa and should Dockrell and Stirling progress on their current trajectory they'll be approached to play for England in the future. Thats a fact!

Johnston wouldn't play for England anyway and he is in the twilight of his career I very much doubt they would be interested in him.
Joyce won't be going back after the way he was treated - he has said as much in interviews back in 2010 when he announced he was going to play for Ireland and was in top for for Sussex.
Thankfully they don't seem to have eyes for anyone else.

!But really i mean the proper white of england!! Theres too many players in the county game better than them 3 thou!

They dont stand out in county cricket so what makes u sure they can make it internationally maybe il be proven wrong in the future, but doubt it!

Is it a sign that the quality of the Irish team is improving?
