Ok so ive had a quick look at the Croke park museum website and it all looks a little complicated with regards to applying to look into the reading room and what not. For a start i dont even know if these photos exist. I'm looking specifically for photos from the Junior All Ireland football final of 1972, Cork v Hertfordshire. Do i email info@crokepark.ie and ask them if they exist or is that just a general email for the website, or does anyone else have an idea of where to start, maybe a photographer etc? Any help would be appreciated

I think that'd be a good idea to email them, they can probably re-direct you to the right person. Have you also tried the newspapers archives ? Evening Press would have covered that, possibly also the Irish Times (which is an online archive). I haven't used it in years but the Ilac library used to have evening press archives on microfile (open to correction on that).

Many thanks! Just subscribed to the irish times archive and got the after match report and preview from the match itself, which will make a nice xmas present for the father.. No pictures unfortunately. Where do i get a hold of the Evening Press archives, who owns them now? The plan is to get the team photo, or if there were action photos, put onto canvas.

Given that Cork were playing, you might be better trying the office's of the Examiner in Cork.
