Probably a stupid question but say if I purchase an App on the Android Market and install it on my phone. I then go out and buy an Android tablet. Can I install the same purchased App on the tablet hooked up to the same gmail account without having to purchase it for a 2nd time ? In other words, are your purchases…

In other words, are your purchases associated to your gmail account rather than to the device itself ?

Yep, purchased apps are linked to your gmail account.
