    Hi All
I was advised by my old Physio to get a deep tissue massage the week of my next race. I'm planning on doing Fields of Athenry on 26th but only appointment I can get for massage is the 22nd. Is this too late for a 1st time deep tissue massage? All advice appreciated :)
    Thanks

4 days should be fine for your first one. You'll probably feel it for 2 days after. Make sure they know you're racing and that you've not had one before so they can adjust their treatment.

I agree four days should be ok, my only experience of getting it wrong, was physio on Friday, event on Sunday. It wasnt good, one more day and I woulda been ok tho.

I got a deep tissue massage on the Thursday before the DCM this year and it did me the world of good, the legs felt really loose.
