Fair aisle. What do you think and where can you get it?

Hello all. I did a quick search of the forum and can't find a thread on this topic, so thought I'd start one. What do you think of the fair aisle trend? Would you wear it? I quite like the red and white patterns - they're very Christmassy :D.

Also, I'm looking for knitted fair aisle tights or leggings. I can find them on eBay, but has anyone by any chance spotted a pair in a store in Ireland? (I'm out of the country at the moment or I'd go browse for them)

P.S. Don't let the avatar fool you, I'm female...

I love it but from years working in clothes shops, I can tell you it's shelf life every year never extends longer than Feb, so It might be a bit late investing in an expensive piece. But of course it comes back every year so there is no real risk.

    Fairisle skirt thread

Pennys & Newlook both stock fairisle leggings, bought myself a pair this week.

I love them, but as said above.. they will not last and will be out of fashion in a few weeks.

Thanks, I'll have a look in penneys when I'm next in Dublin.

Also, just realised I was misspelling Fair isle, which explains a lot :D

Did the fair isle thing not come back...2 years ago? I have a few bits and pieces that I got a couple of years ago that I thought were nice and unique...now they are bloody everywhere! Happens with everything.

I bought a blue dress with a fairisle print on the top for my Christmas dress this year

I'm probably going to wear it all Winter long, it's a small print so it's not too Christmassy :p

I LOVE fairisle and don't really care about the going out of fashion thing. I only wear my Fairisle jumper in Winter anyways, and will continue to do so every year, even if fairisle goes out of fashion. It's a classic pattern, and I'm all about style over fashion.

I love fairisle, but always have. I got a fantastic fairisle cardi in new look a few years ago- it looked like fairisle from afar, but once you got up close it was actually space invaders!

Yeah, you're probably not going to wear anything fairisle in may, but then you don't wear your summer gear in November, either. I'm a big believer in if you like it, and you can wear it with something you already have, then go for it. Wear the hell out of whatever it is until the weather turns, then put it up and bring it back next year and style it whatever way gives it a new twist next year.

Personally I'm planning on getting a bunch of fairisle stuff in the sales, if I can. I can't afford most of it right now, but you never know...
