Alright lads. I recently bought a pair of adidas copa mundials/world cups, just last month to be precise. The pair of boots I bought had studs, rather than mouldies. To get to the point my question is, the fact that the studs are replaceable, are there any studs or blades etc. that I could buy that would suit the hard ground come spring and summer time and then replace them again when the ground gets soft? Im asking this because I really dont want to have to go buy another pair just for the mouldies as I feel it'd be a waste. Or is it even possible to play in the hard ground with studs?

    Thanks in advance!

Should've came on before you bought. AFAIK you cant get the mouldy studs to put into the World Cups (which are the studded version), they only come with the Copa Mundials (mouldies). However you cane get them mixed sole if you were buying new which would be able for both.

Personally i dont wear mouldies in soft ground because they simply dont have grip and i slip. But each to their own

I'm curious Connor - where can you buy those boots in the picture? I've only ever seen professional soccer players wearing them, but never actually seen them for sale, myself.

I find that hard ground and studs just feel uncomfortable - best thing that I can think of to solve your problem is to buy the replacement stud set for the F50s - normal stud thread, Prodirect has then for .99p on their site here - its what I'm planning to do with my Puma Kings that have studs

Thanks for all your feedback lads. I just checked my boots, and their the Adidas Kaizer 5 boots(studs), not the Copa Mundials or the World Cups, if that makes any difference? Buying the f50s would be a possibility as it would save money alright. But would they be comfortable, etc on those type of boots because the fact that there not f5o boots would worry me because the boots might get messed up. Has anybody here bought those f50 studs before?

If the ground is soft enough and the boots are off good enough quality then you'll have no problems.

I think the issue is most people aren't prepared to pay enough for studs to get a decent pair and skimp in comparison to buying HG boots.

I have a pair of Umbro SX Valor, got them off ebay for around E50(they were going for around £99 at the time last year)

Most shops here don't stock decent stud boots, you either get really cheap ones, or really dear(and no-one wants to fork out E100+ for stud boots)

Best job is to buy them on ebay, you'll get a top pair for E50ish, they won't feel uncomfortable either(although saying that, I'd also buy my HG boots on Ebay as well, Pro Direct isn't as cheap in comparison tbh)

You should always have both pairs with you on a wet day anyway, if the studs aren't sinking in enough then by all means switch.

I have a set of F50s studs at home, had a pair of those before they got too tight on my foot, and the studs are a standard thread size to the best of my knowledge, if I can dig out the sets, I'll measure them properly but nearly all studs are a standard width because people won't pay for boots which they have to get specialist studs for

I have a fair of F50s with 3 sets of studs.
    Pm me for details.
Really good to have the option.

Went to JJB and Champion sports yesterday, and they had moulded studs for sale so hopefully it's problem solved. The only thing that needs to be done now is just deciding what type to get as they had several types in stock.
