If it's relevant, let us know.

What have you done so far? Have you telephoned to ask about it? Asked to speak to someone else? Escalate the matter?

its not uncommon for an item to get lost in the hands of a civil servant - of course if there is history between you and said civil servant then there's a higher risk of there being a reason.

however - if you have resubmitted ...its a matter of restarting the process again - unless you insist on it being fast tracked

    OP,

Bypass this person & go to their Supervisor or Manager or higher. Try the phone first, if that fails then put it in writing and send it in to the person in charge of the Dept. Stay civil.

The Department / Office should have service standards on their website (probably under Customer Charter or Customer Action Plan). They should have an indication of the level of service to expect.

You should have a read of that and then write to the Department / Office making a complaint about the person dealing with your license application and outlining where he/she failed to meet the standards they set out.

If you get no joy there, go contact the Ombudsman's office http://www.ombudsman.gov.ie/en/MakeaComplaint/

OP , for your own sake do not make allegations against this Civil Servant without proof - you could find yourself in trouble making allegations you cannot support.

on occasion i have had recourse to the following: they can be attempted in any order and combination - none are sureties - each of the demons require their own special exorcism

get a question asked in the dail about the time frame pertaining to the application

ask for a copy of the formal complaints procedure and for the name of the officer that will handle your complaint

    befriend/marry/spawn a judge

invoke a past patriot to whom you are related and ask a forebear to intervene on your behalf

lobby all mainstream parties to get a meaningful system of ombudsmen/consumer/client supports in place

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES ASSUME THAT THE HIRING OF A SOLICITOR WILL IN ANY WAY IMPROVE YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES (unless you have one you know, trust and believe respect you in turn - if you do then can I please have their contact details).

    bona fortuna
