    I created a German conversation group in Cork over the weekend using Boards.ie and Facebook.

    We held our first get-together yesterday evening and a very enjoyable evening was had, with a very good mix of people in attendance.

    We're going to make it a weekly affair, meeting each Wednesday at 19:30 at a venue that will be posted on the group's Facebook page (PM me for the link and I'll add you).

    Whether you're fluent or just starting to learn German, this will be a great opportunity for you to speak and listen to German in an easygoing setting, with lots of support from fellow learners as well as native speakers.

    There's no obligation to attend every week. If you're free and in the area, just show up and pull up a seat :)

    good to see the stammtisch is back again :)

    there is also klönschnack -the german communication group organised by the german culture and communication centre held in UCC, every first tuesday of a month:

    The meetings are still ongoing if anyone is thinking of joining in. We've been having 8-12 people in most nights, but we could do with some more :)
