Went out with a guy 3 or 4 times. Regular enough texting, even had a movie night in. Gettin on great. Last time we texted he said he wanted to see me again, and had vague plans for the weekend. However, he had a big event during the week and I haven't heard from him since. We're not FB friends but as we were getting on so well would it be weird of me to add him as a friend in case he lost his phone on said night out? Or am I being an idiot? There's also every chance he wouldn't be able to find me on it as no mutual friends and there's every chance he wouldn't remember my surname as it doesn't really come up in convo!

Yeah sure why not contact him? What have you got to lose?

Well I have texted him and gotten no response, that's why I'm wondering if maybe he lost his phone? If he's simply ignoring me then adding him is pretty pathetic! It just doesn't seem like him, he was all set to make plans the last time we spoke! I don't wanna look like a stalker if I add him on FB, especially when you never know when I'll bump into him. What to do?!

Pretty sure if you lose a phone that your numbers/call history can be retrieved via network.
Personally I would leave it and move on. If he is interested you will hear from him.

Don't go adding him on facebook, OP. It looks desperate.

It would maybe be different if you had mutual friends on there, but to specifically seek out a guy who may not be interested in continuing contact with you will definitely look stalkerish.

You texted him. He didn't respond. It's unlikely he lost his phone. And as already stated, contacts are backed up with the network these days.

Wait and see if he gets in touch. The ball is in his court.
