Christmas Tree Lights - White or Coloured?

Put up Christmas tree last weekend and I wanted Coloured Lights on the tree but the OH said they are tacky and only white lights are allowed?

Im starting to see more and more house with Coloured lights now rather than everyone having just white.

What do people think...White or Coloured lights for the Tree?

Coloured. Most Christmas is tacky. My decorations include quite a few sentimental ones, like those produced in primary school (not by me). They may not be the most sophisticated, but they give me a warm glow.

My mum bought a fake Christmas tree a few years ago and it's awful. Built-in coloured lights that go through phases of flashing at different speeds. Sometimes it's nice and slow then it goes absolutely mental. It's like a disco going on in the bottom of the room. EVeryone hates it only her. Well...she probably does but won't admit it since she paid £80 for it.

Even the way the lights flash is awful, they don't flash all over, top top half and the bottom half of the tree lights up alternatively.

The only lights I hate are these awful neon blue ones that have popped up in the past few years. Hideous, cheap, nasty and not Christmassy at all.

I remember once in Fagans in Drumcondra, they had colored lights that were flashing so fast I almost had a siezure. Had to leave the pub because I was so dizzy (before I started drinking)

White Lights are Ghey and I think only snobs use white lights

I've even go as far as using Tinsil, love old skool xmas.
New xmas is ghey

Right On my Man, go look for those dangly decorations. I used to have them but have since lost them.

Xmas is tacky anyway so why not decorate it as such
