Bookmakers greedy logic ?? Ha

    Don;t know why they do this but a mate rang a huge Irish bookie yesterday to put big money on a horse EW in Kempton. This "huge" bookie refused and would only accept €50 ew @14/1. About 10 minutes later he wanted 1k on a 9/4 shot and they took it no problem. The 14/1 horse was 5th. The 9/4 won easy . Ha ha ha . Ironically if they'd taken both bets their losses would be minimal.
    I just hate that sh1te where the days of getting money on a double figure with these bookies is gone (thank god for betfair). But what's the logic of taking tiny money on 1 horse and open season on the other ?? I know it's about potential loss and traders blah blah blah but it's quare annoying :eek::mad:
