I have only seen bits of it in the dark but there is a thread elsewhere on Boards about this project .....see here .

It runs from nowhere to nowhere north of the square and by the swimming pool....a sort of small car park interceptor link jobbie.

Right about here ....do click if you are a completist type :D

From the thread I linked in the first paragraph.
On reflection the only winners are traffic coming from ballygaddy/tullinadaly roads who which to bypass the town for bishop st/dunmore road direction. Given a route between miltown and dunmore roads is already available, i cant see this addition as a huge advantage...

Ah yes, the other winner, Mr. O'Toole.... A road named after him and practically funnelling all possible traffic into his business... He will benefit most alright, but i would not want this white elephant baring my name..

Mr O Toole owns a Supervalu thereabouts IIRC.

But hey it is a road and it is under construction right now, I can confirm. It will trigger a €100m investment according to the local rags > http://www.galwaynews.ie/19356-tuam-inner-relief-road-may-go-ahead :D:D
