Hi guys, I'm getting a new gaming laptop and thought I'd run it by people here to see what ye think. The laptop im looking at is the 15inch Origin eon 15s, heres the basic specs:

    Processor: Intel Core i7-2860QM Quad-Core Processor (2.50GHz)
Graphics Card: Single 2GB GDDR5 ATI Radeon HD 6990M
    Memory: 16GB Dual-Channel DDR3 1333MHz (4 X 4GB)
Hard Drive: 750GB 7200rpm SATA 300 Hard Drive

It seems pretty awesome at the moment, im just worried will it age very fast? I really dont want to get a machine and in a year or so time find its not fast enough to keep up with the latest games and such.

The same company do a 17inch laptop with duel 2gb graphics and quad 3.2ghz processor but its a tad expensive to say the least.

So how long do you guys think it'll last before getting too dated? Any thoughts would be appreciated thanks!

I wouldn't be worried about that yoke dating any time soon!

There will always be bigger and better, but it will run games for a good while yet.

Why not go for a 17" machine, it's going to be a beast whether its 15 or 17, may as well get a larger screen for your trouble!

How much is this yoke!? Why do you need so much RAM? Link to the one with the duel 2GB Card?

Would you not buy a desktop instead?

Fraid im moving around a lot for work so a desktop isnt really an option. Those laptops are quite expensive alright, anywhere fron about 2k to 3+k depending on the customization. Heres a link for them.
