    Hi all

I've just installed a new harddrive into a dell latitude laptop and reinstalled xp and symantech anti virus. Symantec started showing problems when auto-protect failed to startup. Having searched online for solutions the symantec site suggested uninstalling the Savrt driver and then letting windows detect the hardware again. I wasn't sure what savrt did but I did know that it was associated with symantec

low and behold it didn't work. I now have symantec not starting properly and no savrt driver.

Anyone come across this before and solve the problem?
