    I do honestly think the goverment have done a great job of splitting up society, public versus private, both private and public versus social welfare recipients and so on and so on.

    Lots of anger amongst various groups but no common voice.

    That's all very well, but would the writer like to suggest an alternative.

    We can either
    i) Raise taxes or
    ii) Cut spending.

    What do they choose.
