was thinking of getting a ryanair gift voucher for my parents for christmas, just wondering does anyone know if you can use these vouchers to book flights for a group of people where the voucher is in the name of the lead passenger or does the voucher work for only the named person?
Also can you use a credit card to pay the remainder of the balance if the price of the flight goes over the amount on the voucher?
    Thanks!

    From Ryanair website.

    Vouchers are non-refundable.
There is a €5/£5 (or local currency equivalent) administration fee for processing the purchase of gift vouchers.
Vouchers can only be redeemed on www.ryanair.com.
Gift vouchers must be redeemed within 12 months (365 days) of the voucher issue date after which date the voucher becomes void.
Travel can take place up to 12 months from voucher issuance provided the voucher is redeemed within the validity period specified above
The validity of the vouchers cannot be extended.
Vouchers are issued in denominations of €25/€50 or local currency equivalent.
If a voucher is partially redeemed the remaining balance is void.
Vouchers are only valid for the person named as the voucher recipient. The voucher recipient must be passenger 1 during the flight booking process.
A maximum of 4 vouchers can be used to purchase a flight. If the total amount of ticket price exceeds the value of the voucher(s) any price difference must be paid by credit or/debit card.
Vouchers are only valid for the payment of Ryanair flights and any associated taxes, fees and charges.
Gift vouchers can only be redeemed in the currency of issue.
Name changes are not permitted when a reservation has been paid for using a gift voucher.
Gift vouchers cannot be used as payment if flight reservations include Car hire.

this is the bit thats confusing me:
"Vouchers are only valid for the person named as the voucher recipient. The voucher recipient must be passenger 1 during the flight booking process"
does that mean only one person can use the voucher or can they book for more than one person in the same booking? awkward question i know but iv never booked with ryanair so i want to be sure they'l both be able to use the voucher for the same flight!
    thanks for your help!

Id imagine the 1st passanger can make all the bookings and pay an excess with a credit card. Its a money off voucher so it'll be taken off at the booking stage where it asks if you have vouchers.
    Hope that helps?

i bought one before for my parents and i was unable to book either for a flight when they wanted to use it. so they changed it to one of my parents names free of charge. a tiresome ordeal. probably better giving them the money. the balance of around a fiver, after booking, was lost.
