Updating Meteor Huawai E180 modem

    Pay as you go dongle, I've searched the Manager prog and can't find an option to update, not even under diagnostics.

    any ideas guys!

    and I've recently been to Specsavers:D

    DC-Files have a clutch of firmware and dashboard updates, for the Huawei E180.

    If the dongle just 'works', there's no real need to update, as just about all the service providers allow the input of a New Profile\APN, if that's your problem.

    I've updated my E180 from their files, both a brand neutral dashboard (default Huawei branding & features) and the firmware. (2 different updates, not the same process)

    EDIT: If you intend to keep using a Meteor SIM, I would highly recommend not updating the dashboard, as Meteor have a customised interface for sending query messages about data allowance left, as well as topping up.

    Yeah i done that to my Meteor modem before aswell installed Huawei default dashboard but lost the Meteor top up section from doing this so couldnt top up

    they should have a top up section on their website for entering voucher codes,
    Anyways i found a link to the modems Meteor dashboard here on boards couldn't find one anywhere else now all is back to the way it was before:)
