Another motorist took my photo on their mobile!

Driving home from work this evening as usual. Came up to a roundabout on the inside of two lanes, as I was going straight ahead as normal. A female driver came up on the outside lane at the same time and I presumed she was taking the right exit as the road quickly turns into one lane on the far side of the roundabout. She didn't. She went through the roundabout, continuing straight on, obviously using the outside lane to avoid any queuing on the inside lane. We exited the roundabout at the same time in roughly the same position, with her on the outside of me. I eventually yielded and let her feed into the lane as there was nowhere for the two of us to go but I flashed here once as she fed in, as she was in the wrong lane going through the roundabout IMO.

Anyway, about a mile down the road, I take a right feeder lane to eventually turn right while she is continuing on straight, in front of me. As I enter the feeder lane I notice her brake lights come on and she slows down until I eventually I'm beside her car and going past it. I take a glance to my left to see why she has slowed and she has her mobile phone pointed at me and is taking my photo as I pass!!

Now I didn't think much of it at the time, thought she was just trying to spook me for flashing her, but now I'm wondering if it could be more serious? Can she make claims against me and my driving if she feels I was in the wrong and use the photo to identify me or am I reading too much into it and being paranoid? Surely shes in the wrong for taking the photo while driving!

So she could do you for dangerous driving by taking a photo on her phone while she's driving

    I wouldn't worry,

paranoia will be the death of the americans. its simple really you flashed her first and then she got a chance to flash you back

As you exited the roundabout at the same time presumably the road is in fact two lanes for a certain distance from the roundabout? If so she did nothing wrong in my book.

Regarding the taking of the photo there may be a forum somewhere on the net where folks post pics of seemingly (to them) obnoxious drivers or something :)

Thanks for the replies. As mentioned numerous times most likely paranoia on my part.

If I'm approaching a roundabout and taking either the first or second exit I approach in the left lane, unless marked otherwise. At the roundabout in question, we were both taking the first exit, which was straight ahead.

I'd always presumed my approach above was correct and in both instances the outside lane should only be used for those exits if the inside lane is blocked or if directed by Gardai. I may be wrong of course but that was always my understanding.

100% trying to spook you, ever try and take a picture of something while in a car? Absolutely impossible for her to get anything remotely identifiable no matter how good a quality camera on her phone.
