Can anyone recommend a lively area/district to stay in Berlin that is easily accessible to the airport/train stations?

Looking to stay in a hostel there on the 8th & the 19th of June travelling to and from Euro 2012.

    Regards

    Rob

10 minute walk to Alexanderplatz which is the main trainstation.

    Lively area!

No. The main train station is Hauptbahnhof (literally, "main train station").
    Lively area!

This is true though. The Alex area is an excellent part of town to be in.
