Youtube tags

    Is there any chance that the youtube tags could be altered so it'd know to only take the bit after the v=

    ie you could have
    [noparse]
    [/noparse]
    and it'd still show the video regardless of how much of the URL was put in the tag.

    Just a common problem among folks who don't know how to do it properly :)

    Thanks for the suggestion. It's probably a fairly minor change to the BBCode parser, probably more time consuming to find, test and deploy than to actually fix. I'll put it on the feature suggestion pile. Someone will probably grab it when they're looking for something easy to do.

    And then Paddy said "Make it so" and it was pushed to the production servers later on that day.

    When this goes live you can continue to use the tags as normal (with just the video ID) or with the full URL now, it should all work.
