Bass Player Wanted - South Dublin - Melodic Rock

Madisun have been together for a little over a year now, started playing gigs around Dublin late November last year, just off the back of a home recorded demo, things built up quickly, we got a lot of press/publicity and we got a slot at this past summer's Oxegen festival:

    http://www.oxegen.ie/5498/artists/madisun/

A few months after, our bassist left us, and we haven't been able to find a suitable replacement.

Currently, we are getting ready to record our EP at the end of December, where we will be using a session bassist, but we need someone who can slot in immediately after into what'll be a hectic enough gigging schedule. We have the right plan in place to make it happen.

We're a melodic rock band, with a wide range of influences, we'd play some heavier and darker things, and some lighter, but all with good melody at the core of it.

    We need someone who has:

Talent, musicality, creativity, rock solid timing, great metronome skill, great stage presence, a knowledge of theory so they can improvise, and a huge work ethic.

Ideally you'd be around our age, we're 18-21, we need someone who is going to be able to drop everything and commit fully if things take off, along with a high level of commitment and work ethic in the meantime.

Most importantly really, we need someone who's going to be a laugh, easy to get on with, someone who we won't kill on a tour bus!

We practice 4-5 times a week, mostly in the evenings.

If you like the sound of it, and want to work hard at it, get back to us Via PM with your:

Age, years playing, influences, anything you've recorded, metronome ability, gigging experience, gear etc (all the usual stuff).

We'll send you some tracks and more details and hopefully get you in for a jam.

    Cheers,
    Madisun.

These lads are a joke, I wrote back them and never heard anything not even a jam kind of insulted cause "melodic rock" is pish easy to play and they don't strike me as musican musicans, I just wanted to jam with people

Sorry mate, only saw the PM there. Not really used to how these forums work. Thanks for the response, not sure you'd fit in really. Many thanks.
