Roads are going to be in a terrible shape in the morning, a good 16 hours of heavy rain in Letterkenny and snowing at the moment. Not been out all night but inevitably lots of flooding about

If you are coming in to Letterkenny on the dual carraigeway you will have to take that wee side road about half way along (by boals)

apparently after that the road is flooded so drive safe!

Does anyone know if there is a list of the flooded roads? One that will be updated through the day?

    Posts moved from Snow thread.

As far as I know the Letterkenny / Churchill road is still very at Conwall graveyard. The main street in Newtown at the school is passable but only just, I have some photo's I'll put them up in a wee minute.

My advise is if you come across a flood where possible use an alternate route and don't do what so many people do and plow on through. You could find yourself needing to get yourself a new engine if you get even a small bit of water into your engine (via the air intake), so its best to take the extra few minutes using a different route ;)

Highland Radio keep a pretty up to date list in the mornings and on anything major throughout the day, but I don't know if they only read it out on the radio or publish a list online.

I travelled from Stranorlar to St. Johnston and back last night and the roads were atrocious with surface water.

Had to go to a funeral in Strabane this morning and the roads were even worse in places. There was a car flipped on to it's side/roof in the middle of a flooded section just on the Ballybofey side of Liscooley.

I think its safe to say that it was as bad as I have ever seen.
