    Hi all,
The gf is in a position whereby getting her full licence asap is absolutely critical to her career. I did my test years ago and never had to do the theory test.

The next test in our area is December 20th...I have no idea but would you be able to pass the test with 6 days of revision?

Can you apply for the provisional before passing the theory test?

Also, do you need the provisional licnece before you get driving lessons?

It is bad news. She can't apply for the learner permit ( provisional licence ) until she passes the theory test. She can't begin lessons on public roads until she has a learner permit and she must take a minimum of twelve. This might be the worst bit. She can't sit her test until she ha held her learner permit for six months.
Might be possible but difficult to go up north?

PS It is possible but very difficult to pass the theory test within six days.

Theory test? Yes, entirely possible. If she has ever payed attention as a passenger, then she should already know 60-80% of the content.

No, but you can apply for it on the spot once you pass the provisional, if you have the eye test and whatnot done allready.

You can't drive on public roads without a license, and instructors should be checking before they begin lessons. Afaik, these people (with whom I have no affiliation) will give lessons to unlicensed drivers on their private course: http://leinsterdrivingcampus.ie/

Unfortunately any lessons on the leinster campus before getting a lrarner permit would not count to the 12 compulsory EDT lessons.
