    ....I say so. :p

Is it just me or has the world just gone fuppin mad. honestly i feel like im going insane at the stupidity.
IMO. I demand we start a bycot against Ryanair. Reading This! makes me sick. now in all fairness im using them this Thursday but to keep charges to a minimum im only carrying myself on board and a black bag glued to my hand . i wont be going with in 100 feet of a Ryanair desk. But for anyone who wants to pay that price. I know its your opinion and i cant stop you but In my opinion! im sorry i have to call you a big fool. :( Okay Fair enough its your money but please think of the children. They need food on the table.:pac: If people are willing to through their money at MR o' horrible. Your basically telling him its ok to do this. that there is no moral in the world.

I just wish someone would think the same im thinking and by-cot this airline Stand up for the workers who have no union. Stand up for the ppl who leary has mad a mockery of, stand up for the airlines, Stand up for the NTSB, Stand up for the hot sexy beauts that probably dont even get paid decent. Yes a bycot may seem strong but its all i can think of. It just hurts to see what he is doing to the industry. . ... and a riot will break out cause i'll be there(doesnt matter if im just sitting eating a sandwich a riot always breaks out ha ha):pac:

Mods move if.. in wrong location/unsuitable for viewers eyes/those who may be offended by selctive words/or just cause im giving you permission

Well its time to promote that and im sure many more will be joining in 2012. Also the stock seems to be wrong. according to the current exchange 1 share is only worth €3.77c thats how ****e an airline it is. not even that 10million dollar cat would touch one of their stocks.:pac:

    Whats a bycot???

I like ryanair. They're cheap, and they bring me to interesting places.

I'm sure the people who this will affect will "boycott" Ryanair if it makes financial sense to fly with someone else. I personally like to have the option to fly cheaply with a small bag.

time to get a new calculator me thinks. unless your flying on your own i will agree they are cheap. sure im going to uk for €24 its dearer to go on the rail
Well its rather a boycott or he leaves or worse should happen i'll accept anything to see him out of power. but thats my own opinion

    Hahahaha

So is it ok if we all start this boycott AFTER you've used them on Thursday :rolleyes:

If ya felt that strongly about it then you would have just booked with another airline and gone with them

IMO RyanAir are great, they do exactly what they say they'll do, and it's because of the likes of them that other airlines have had to follow suit and drop prices

I dunno which ryanair you're using, but I can get from Dublin to Gatwick for €15 with them, so long as I book in advance, and not the night before.

    Solution.

If you don't want to pay €100 to check in your bag, bring hand luggage only. Quite easy really

You can also save more cash buying your sandwich somewhere else.
The food on Ryanair flights is muck anyway.

Boycotting an airline because you don't like their T&Cs is fair enough.

But don't expect me (or millions of others who enjoy getting away on €40 return flights) to join you.

I'm not sure what you mean by that.

Anyway, in Ryanair's case, there's me and about 70 million others.

As it happens, I'm off to London tomorrow with Ryanair till Friday.
Total cost of flight. €34.98 return.

Exactly . I would just love to punch the man in the face. but because i cant do that i'll have to find new alternatives.

I only go there for the ...... i wont say online its an inside joke and a mod might say im being disrespectful to them and i have no manners. Its a love hate relationship always was always will be. until i find new alternatives. Eg moving to a pent house in spain. which would imply id have to fly with BA or some other airline so therefore i will be boycotting FR. life is sorted like a piece of cottage pie.

Now if you'll excuse me i shall no longer take part in this thread. cause im just sick of it. its late im hyper im tired im tipsy im lying and personally just right annoyed with the world and FR i bid you farewell. /closedfromme

One of the things I have learned is NOT to post after midnight when I've been indulging in alcohol. This seems to be the case here. Although some of the my best stuff is written under the influence.

As for Ryanair, no need to boycott. One of the myths out there is that we actually live in an age of low cost air travel. We don't. It's relatively less expensive than it was but it's still expensive. €15 airfares don't make any money for any airline but from their point of view €15 is better than an empty seat.

Shop around, compare. There's nearly always an alternative.

Request thread be closed for sheer ridiculousness.

Ryanair bashing threads should be in after hours or travel, am sick to death defending them and pointing out the simple fact that it's the customers choice who they fly with, but this 'let's start a boycott after I've used them for conveniene and price' is definitely mind boggling.

No point sending it to Travel. I'll just close it!

It's a pure rant, it doesn't even make sense anyway. Let's all boycot the airline, but not until I've travelled with them later this week.... Brilliant.

Yes close it. A for your information was not drunk. This could have been a rant. But its a love hate relationship with FR. And what he's doing in my opinion is not right. Yrs he is a business man and i admire his style and boldness but sometimes he takes it just too far. Clearly they must not be meeting their target if its the case that he has to implement all these extras just to make money.

Ok you have your point.... IF! You pick up a bargain but for those next year wishing to travel it will be more expensive. I'm surprised leary hasn't already do what ba done in gatwick and install self service check-in like he's already set the motion in place why not just get rid of those few ppl he has left at the counters.

But which I've forgotten and everybody else is that this thread us about the new pricing not what bargins we have gotten in the past

None of your posts are making sense. This is a free market. People are free to decide who they fly with. You don't need to ask people to boycott something, if they don't like the service, they won't use it, it's that simple. Those fees you are talking about are all optional so for most, there will be no change.

Ryanair is currently by far the best performing airline stock in Europe. The top 6 airlines in Europe declined by an average of 35% over the past year. Ryanair only declined 2.5% giving them a market value of ~6.4 Billion Euro.

Ryanair have an online check in service so there shoudn't be a need for check in services really. But Ryanair are trialing the self service check in at Dublin and Stansted. They were the first airline in the world to use the self service chip and pin facility.

So I think we should start the bycott today starting with "shannon-tek" using another airline...

oh and I'm sure the MODS really appreciate you giving them permission to move your thread, its so kind of you..

The Article in the Indo is full of technical inaccuracies, eg I booked a flight from Malaga to Dublin for next week the bag cost €20 this increases next year to €25 thats 25% increase not the 66% that is claimed in the article.
oh so that made a flight total of €53, I most certainly would regard that as a bargain when compared to Aer Lingus's €160 which is cheap by Aer Lingus standards.

I fly Ryanair about a dozen times per year and I have no problem with them I would certainly recommend them and regularly do so. Its even better when I fly to places like Knock, I flew Faro to Knock to Faro 6 times last year, and paid €12 euros 5 times and €18 the other time.

so will I bycott(sorry Boycott) Ryanair??? absolutely not, I will continue to use what is probably the most reliable, successful and stable Airline in the world

There are a range of life choices everyone is free to make. Two of them are:

    1. Use Ryanair
    2. Don't use Ryanair

"Bycott" them all you want but you probably won't get any support on here :)

Suggest After Hours or even the Thunderdrome for a good auld rant if you wish.
