I've been to the eastern side of Germany, Stralsund, Berlin, Leipzig, Dresden etc. , the campsites/stellplatz one of the Berlin ones are in general good but a bit basic though good value. I have not yet been to Poland but see HERE for lots of info.

We have stayed in two camp sites in Poland one of them was in Warsaw the standard was as good as here. Also stayed in stellplatz-berlin the link is in darmurt's post you have to book your pitch size and are not allowed to put a wheel or a leg of a chair outside it. One german had booked a pitch that he van only just got in to and when he set outside was told he could only sit in his own area and he had to put away he chairs and sit in he van .
