Im over from Limerick and Im looking for a place to stay and thankfully my work is paying for my hotel till I do. its not easy, the market is competitive. Tell him log on to www.spareroom.co.uk and put up a wanted ad, ive been contacted by loads on it. The same site you can search for places.

Also www.gumtree.co.uk is good for a search.

for a single room youll be looking at about 100-130 pounds a week, accomodation is expensive here.

thank you for that, im looking at those sites for him now, ya I know its not easy over there, but i think more possibilities than here. I hope all goes well for you too, we went over there in the 80's - had to, but did ok, hard work, but harder to see our son & daughter having to do the same now.
