malignant melanoma

    Hi all
    i was recently diagnosed with malignant melanoma clark level 3 with a 1.3mm breslow depth. i went for a wider excision and sentinel lymph node biopsy and the result came back clear from that.
    i thought well fine however under recommendation i have been asked to have a pet scan after xmas and then after that is done i will have to start on a cycle of interferon injections.
    FIRST 2 months 3 per day and from there after 5 days per week.
    Can somebody please tell me some information on the drug as i cant get my head around it at the moment thanks.
    I would appreciate any information on it

    my wife had this in 2010, had it removed,then had lymph node biopsy which was NAD.
    That was it no Chemo just check up every 6 monyhs

    Sister-in-law had interferon,flu like side effects. I took a form of interferon for my MS, found it easiest to take it close to bed time and sleep through the worst.
