    Hi all

I know there are previous threads on this - but I wanted to capture the latest thinking on cooker hoods and MHRV

Seems to be a choice of
    a) charcol/grease filter - and recirculate - have MHRV vent in kitchen with its own additional separate grease filter
    b) good quality grease filter into then MRHV ducting
    c) duct cooker hood outside - but have self closing damper when not in use

    Comments please

I have a Ubink MHRV system with ducting fitted only.
Suppliers said to put in extractor fan for cooker seperate to outflow duct
also near cooker. Doesnt seem to make sense to me. Said it would only clog up unit.

Grease is a killer - take a look at any extract unit and see how greasy the outside of the unit is - then look at the fan behind the "grease" filter.

Now think of your ducting - ugh!!
