It may be nothing but I was watching the races on Saturday and Brio was given an unbelievably easy ride and still came 6th.

Interestingly he is running today with a 3lb claimer and is 40/1, might be nothing but I have backed him

I backed him that day.it was unbelieveable he was let become detached without any effort by the jockey to scrub him along.he just sat pretty the whole time.adam Kirkby was on him that day I think

The connections of this horse should be done for stopping, second race running. He was in a line of four at the 1f pole under a weak drive and the jockey simply gave up at 3/4f out.

The horse is just shocking.I watched both races and I cannot see what you are talking about. This is class 6 at Southwell wearing a visor it does not get any worse than that.Today he was pushed along for first three furlongs to stay in touch[remember this is class6] he then had nothing left but was never near the leaders.

What has the class got to do with it if conne tions arent trying.

I just watched both races and agree with you about the last race, the jockey was pushing for most of the way and just gave up when the horse had no chance but its race 2 runs ago was a joke.

the jockey never tried pushing the horse at all and just let him run around in his own time widest of all around every bend.

maybe you were looking at the wrong horse in the second last race.

That's rubbish my friend. The horse was never even asked to quicken in the first race and still finished 6th. In the second race he was within half a length of the horse at 1f out and the jockey jacked it in after a feeble attempt to drive the horse for 1/4f. The horse wasn't ridden out, that's a breach. I am not having the horse had nothing left, look at the ground he made up from the bend to the 1f, he was travelling very well to do that and the jockey decided in essence to drop his hands.

Being pushed along for the first 3 furlongs, yeah that is rare in 6f races:rolleyes:
In any case you can get ridden for position or is that a new concept to you, have a look at the start of Denmans recent Hennessy, Ruby fairly drove him at the start for position.

Class 6? What odds does it make if it is stopping a horse or not riding it on it's merits, ever hear of Casela Park? That was a class 5 race and look what happened! Believe it or not horses are entered in races based on their ratings so it's not as if he was racing Frankel.

Visor, does that automatically mean he is crap? Lough Derg wore a visor, I would hardly call him crap. I remember a certain Hardy Eustace wore one too!! Visors are used on certain horses that like the scenery.

Have another look mate, he made serious ground up coming around the bend and was less than a length off the leaders at the 1f. Maybe stopping was a bit strong but he had a chance of getting a place imo.

Agree with the rest of what you are saying.

Just watched it a few times there again and yea your right he did make up good ground on the rail but the jockey was flat out riding him from before the 2 furlong pole and the horse was going his max speed to make it up
    and could'nt reach the leaders.

l counted that he hit the horse 6 times from just before the 2f pole
    until inside the final furlong.

At 1.07 on the ATR replay is when the jockey eases off him its inside the final furlong but I genuninely think the horse had given its all by that stage .
The jockey had more or less used his whip quota up aswell.

He had indeed used his quota but the horse wasn't exactly treading water, he could have placed better if the jockey kept on with hands and heels imo.

All said, I have kept him in tracker so I can see if he is worth another bet in his next race. Two races ago was shocking and looked like schooling.

I will let you know when he is due to go again.

Yea I will be definately interested in his next race.

The middle of the track was running alot faster than the inside rail yeasterday, nearly every winner came wide off the bend and up the middle of the track so the fact he made up the ground he did on the worst ground
    is interesting aswell.

the horse is total rubbish and according to me and the local stewards he was doing his very best.He finished sixth of eight[those two were almost walking]beaten 19l over 7f in grade 6 at Southwell.I cannot see what is clearly not there,I dont think i have ever backed a horse at Southwell because they are put on for the benefit of the bookmakers.Good luck to you if he runs again.

You are a complete imbecile if you think he ran to his merits in that race, he was running like it was a slow piece of work! Coming out of the stalls the jockey gave two huge pulls on the reins to slow him down he then wove him around the back of the field and had him closer to the outer rail than the inner for no obvious reason.

But the word according to Sting60 is that was an excellent attempt by a crap horse.
