Wondering if anybody has been using the DG Spinner shafts in their wedges? They are stock shafts in the new Mizuno and Ping wedges. I've read a lot about them online but haven't ever seen anybody using them. I was thinking of changing to them as I'm getting new wedges in the new year. The shaft on their own can be bought for €30. Anybody with any feedback on their performance can post here, much appreciated.

Luke Donald is using them so if their good enough for the world number 1...:)

30e seems fairly reasonable actually when you consider how much driver shafts can cost. Particularly when an amateur is far more likely to use the wedge more than the driver during any given round.

Does anyone know what flex are they?

Using a Cleveland CG14, 50 degree that has wedge flex in them?? From what I gather this is a regular flex (similar to an R300).

I loosing a bit of distance on full shots and would have expected a stiff shaft to be in all wedges for better control.

Like the club and if I could change the shaft for small money, than that might be an option for me.

Not sure what flex they are equal too but they come in two different flex's. Wedge + for Pw and Gw and Wedge flex for Sw and Lw. Lots of hype around them, apparently they give a lower trajectory and increase spin by around 700 rpm on average. The link below is what grabbed my attention.

Used this site twice before for grips, great service. With delivery and the exchange rate they could go above €30 but not by much.

    cheers for that.
Any idea how much your average pro would charge to fit them ?

Got a guy to fit a stiff (6.0) rifle shaft and a new golf pride multicompound grip which he supplied, to a broken lob wedge for me for 35 yo yo's in Limerick. (good deal I thought)

I expect if you had the gear he would prob charge a tenner a club I suspect

Where did you get them with the spinner shaft? I read somewhere that the DG spinner is the stock shaft in the US while Europe gets the DG wedge flex.

Tiger Golf in Patrickswell. Guy there named Gerry. He is good.

Also changed the lie angle of all my irons. Only guy in Limerick with a machine I believe too.

PS: I have no affiliation with him, but I can recommend him.

Got them from a guy in the US so that explains it :)

They seem to be getting rave reviews and the only negative comments seem to be from guys with fast swings and aggressive transition who get too much lag on full swing shots. These same guys still love them for pitches and chipping though.

The link I posted to the hackers paradise forum on the shafts above is worth a read.
At €26 excluding shipping I for one will give them a try.... Sure it's Christmas after all! It's easily justified
