I remember hearing that for classic insurance you need to have a main policy on another vehicle, I assume this is still the case?
Does the other policy have to be another car? I use a motorbike as my primary means of transport and am 25.
    Thanks

I'm not sure tbh. I'd advise asking the brokers/insurers directly.

As HFIII says, it's mainly down to the company underwriting the insurance.

Unfortunately, past experience says that the insurer will probably want the main policy to be a car policy too. I wouldn't be surprised if is still generally the same.

You can get insurance on an classic car as a main vehicle, but it will be at rates similar to a standard car policy.

Yes, has to be a daily car policy. They treat bike & car policies as seperate.

Not sure on that, have four motorbikes with Carole Nash and they seemed to allow them as daily driver.

This is confusing...Are you saying you have a bike insured with Carole Nash & then a car insured with them as well under a classic policy based on your bike being your daily driver???? Never knew that was possible.

I tried insuring a capri & had bike as a daily driver but they wound'nt accept it for the classic car policy. Had to have a seperate daily car policy before I could get classic. This was 3 years ago so maybe rules have slackened since then.
