Australian Stock Exchange

    Hi Guys,

I am planning on buying shares of a company which trades on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX).

There is only one company that I want to invest in and it will be a long term investment, well, it will most likely likely be for more than three years (which I presume is long term!).

Can anyone advise on the best way to go about this? I read in an other forum that some Irish brokers allow people to invest on ASX but I cant seem to to find out which ones. There seems to be very little info out there about it, but that could just be me not looking in the right place as i'm new to the world of investing.

Has anyone any experience buy shares on ASX preferably through an Irish broker? Id love to hear how you did it or at least be pointed in the right direction.

Any help will be much appreciated.

I know that goodbodies (both directly and through AIB) do as well as tdwaterhouse. I'm sure many others also do it such as davies, ncb, etc.

Cool, thank Neil, I'll check those out.

Is it just me or do none of these sites mention what stock exchanges they trade with?
