Hey I'm just wondering has anyone any advice for getting married in Gibraltar. Has anyone else done it? How did you get witnesses if you went alone??

I work in Gibraltar, but wouldn't particularly like to getter married there.
One of my colleagues got married in April and it didn't seem to take too much organisation. I'm not sure about the witnesses, she had some friends there, but I'd say a lot of people don't have any with them.

Any particular reason why you wouldn't like to get married there? Do you know how ppl get around not having witnesses with them?

Well, maybe I just associate it with work, but also it looks best from afar. I suppose there are some nice parts, but overall it's a bit grotty, at least that's how it seems to me.
But I know a lot of people go there cos it's easier than Spain, maybe I will end up doing the legal part there. I really have no idea about witnesses though, sorry. Let me know if you're stuck, maybe I can help!;)

Lots of couples get married in Gibraltar and whilst the registry office might not be the prettiest of places in the world, the Alameda gardens are stunning. If you don't have witnesses then you will normally find people around willing to help. Weddings are quite frequent and quite often guests from either the wedding before or the wedding after will help out. I wouldn't worry. The advantage of Gibraltar is that the paperwork is comparatively very simple. Enjoy your day.

We have our wedding booked in Gibraltar for may next year. The reason we chose Gibraltar was the price and minimal paperwork. Its just the two of us going and we are hoping to nab people on the street to be witnesses. We have arranged it all ourselves, we are getting married in the registry office(we don't mind if its pretty or not). All we had to do was email copies of our passports and birth certs and pay the fee, I think it was £110.
We have to be at the office the day before we get married before 12 to sign some things and bring our original documents. We got cheap ryanair flights Malaga, cheap car rental and are going to "honeymoon" in southern Spain.
