locating valves to heat hot water?

hi there, this may sound like a silly question but how do you know if you can heat your hot water with your central heating system?

we are currently using our immersion to heat the hot water for the house, obviously we are finding it quite expensive. we cant find any obvious levers or switches to change the plumbing to put hot water into the tank. there are however 3 boxes with sunvic written on them in the hot press, attached to the pipes with wires going into them. if we were to remove the covers would there be something behind them, from the little research on google i think they are motorized valves but there is no switch on them like the ones on google. im a little nervous about interfering with a system i know absolutely nothing about.. if they are motorized valves how do i use them?

there is also a thermostat on the cylinder but i dont know if this is for the immersion or the central heating system, the wires dont seem to go into the main box thats in the hot press. this main box is connected to the sunvic boxes.

a few mins ago i looked at the thermostat and saw that it was set at the lowest setting around 20ish, i bumped it up to 55oC but nothing happened, im presuming because the tank was full of hot water, if i leave the immersion off and set the thermostat will it do the business?

we also have sunvic thermostats located around the house, but after reading the manual there is no mention of heating water, so im presuming its not possible to control hot water from these units.

would i just be better off getting a plumber?

as you may be able to tell, i haven't a notion about any of this stuff, but as money is getting tight i need to find an alternative to using the immersion

    thanks for reading

To start with turn the stat on the cylinder up to 60 . On the controlller you turn the heating on and off at is there 3 zones , if so one of these zones will be hot water. you will need to both turn on this zone and ensure the cylinder thermostat is turned up to 60 so that it heats hot water.

    thanks outcast_ire..
i did as you suggested and i have had no luck, i turned on all 3 zones as i didn't know which zone was responsible for heating the water..the heating was on for around 2 hours..
