I find Mark Howard's One Jump Ahead book second to none when it comes to these type of guides & I've read most of them in my time

The Timeform 50 to follow is decent enough too. I find the Wetherby's Cheltenham betting guide excellent but am not as big a fan of the NH season version. I bought the racingpost guide a few years back & didn't think much of it tbh.

Bit late to buy them now IMO, most of the "dark horses" will already have had their cover blown.

The Guide to the Jumps 2011-2012 has short profiles on all 400 runners in the tote ten to follow competition supplemented with the usual mix of stable tours/tipster selections. I've bought it for the last 4 or 5 yrs. 6/10.

I purchased the Racing & Football Outlook this year for the 1st time and am still reading it. 7/10.

Didn't get the annual but I've stuck it on the Christmas wishlist for the Mrs to buy :)

There is often a bit of overlap with the publications from the RP site, but if your anything like the average NH fan, you'll enjoy reading them - think they're about €10 each at beginning of season and then drop in price as the season progresses. There are muplti-buy options also on the rp site.
