Just rang a few places who want between 35 and 50 euro for a software update and they want to keep the fone for a few days: busy....

I see that this can be done via nokia suite: will this clear the SIM lock problem?

It cant be done via nokia suite. Thats just a firmware update. Where are you based? €25/€30 is normally the charge for this and only takes a few minutes.
