... selling in Supervalu at the moment for €15 which is great value imo.

The Heineken crates of 24x500ml cans they sell for €24 works out a little bit cheaper per litre.

Ya, the cans work out at €2 per litre while the bottles work out at €2.27 per litre.

However for me the feel and taste (in my head anyway) from a bottle of beer is nicer. So off to Supervalu with me.

    Cheers OP.

I think €20 is still ok, just €15 is very good, but won't last long. I got a box a few weeks ago for €15, then they went up to €20, and back down to €15 for the moment.

I agree, am not a big drinker and like to have just a couple of bottles of an evening - much prefer bottled beer. Guinness would be the only cans I'd buy myself.

think dunnes have 24 for 18euro if my memory serves me. And there is a difference in taste , minimise drinking from cans if you can (excuse pun)

Agreed. I think i'll volunteer to buy both and do a taste test on them over the weekend for the benefit of Boards Bargain Alerts :)

I tryed both, the bottles died a death a week ago. Cans in stock now. Both nice. Not 5% muck.

It would be good to see these discounted boozes continue into 2012. We are in fecking recession. We still pay more for everything than the rest of Europe. These prices are still around the norm for bottles or cans on the continent.
