    Yes, not all branches might have one of the day you ask, but in theory you can get one (i did once).

    Working in retail for most of the time the Euro's been out I've only seen those notes twice.
    €200 notes are fairly common though.

    you should be able to get one easily enough if you want, just note (pun intended) that most shops don't accept €200 notes, never mind €500 notes.
