    Hi all

Has any mechanical minded folk had any dealing with these cars. Thinking of buying one off my cousin. It is an 05 plate but only 30k on clock. Just not sure how reliable the automatic gearbox is on it. The real draw for me is the 50mpg (urban). Considering it is a merc - assume gearbox is decent.

Any merc mechanics have an opion?

    Thanks

I'm pretty sure the diesel on these is a merc engine minus 1 cylinder. I'd imagine the gearbox is one of those jerky semi auto jobbies

Sluggish gearchange on semi-auto versions according to honestJohn - they were never a big seller here, but that why i like them!
    is it the
1.5 litre 3-cylinder chain cam diesel: (67bhp) or the (94bhp) model?

    Great mpg figures alright.
