Shane Lowry has just played brilliant in Dubai well played and fair play.

Pity the tv directors choose to ignore him all weekend.:(

Four golfers just left on the course including Shane but the tv directors rather show us the desert and the trees rather than show us a shot of Shane Lowry.

Tied 8, cheque just shy of €144K. Almost €850K won this year.

Great finish to the year, that's a tidy heap of cash made this year

I watch a lot of golf on Sky and the TV often ignores Shane Lowry. He's had a great season, but it is such a pity we don't get to see more of him on TV.

i didn't get a chance to watch much golf over the week end but i did see Shane hitting a few shots on Saturday when he was up to tied 2nd

i have to eat some humble pie here as i was one of those who thought he wouldn't make it,he has impressed me no end this year and hope he continues to improve

Great way to round off the season, best of luck to all our pros for next year.

Great stuff from Shane. Surely only a matter of time before he wins again.

Don't see why people are surprised by the lack of TV coverage he receives, though. He has been solid without being spectacular since turning pro so it's unlikely his profile is that high outside of Ireland.

Just seen on twitter that his clubs have been stolen. Sickener!!!!
    Happened in Napoli airport
I know he"ll easily get custom made replacements but he probably had a couple of favourites clubs he was attached to

    From twitter
I hope whatever KNOB who stole my clubs in Napoli airport shanks every shot for the rest of his life.

His new old sticks must be working so far. He's the early leader in Sicily - 3 under thru 5 holes.

Was just going to post that his new clubs worked well for him. Least he got them.
Great round from him again, solid round tomorrow and if he plays the weekend like he has the last few weeks he should be in with a great shout.

Should be favourite really in an average field...... considering Mannasero and Raphael Jaquelin are way off the pace. Peter Lawrie is going well however -7 through 16.

I don't know about being favourite , Donaldson and Colsaerts are a bit above average and they are well positioned.

Comon Shane -2 through 4 ..!! Have Lowry doubled with Mahan @ 225/1 but have to go play first medal of the year now. So if anyone wants to watch and lend some support (aka pray) please do ..! :p

Shane -4 thru 9. Needs the same again on the back 9 to be in with a chance. Post a score and wait to see what happens.

    joint leader now another birdie

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,987 ✭✭✭Trampas

    parred the par 5 14th

needed that. if he can post -14 would give him a chance

    T6 finish.

Did very well considering he bogeyed last two holes. Would have come in tied for 3rd only for the bad finish.

    €30,000, nice

Those bogeys on 17 and 18 were expensive, he would have won 51,667 if he had finished on -12 and shared 3rd with Colsaerts and Kjeldsen.

More than 10k per bogey, ouch!
