New recorder needed

    Hi all,
    we are canceling sky after christmas and so we will lose the ability to record from the TV and Free view box.
    Any body got any advise what to buy, DVD recorder, Blue ray, memory stick etc. etc.
    We did like the series link but i'm not sure if that will be available on another machine other than the sky box.
    Any advise appreciated.
