Have you had any problems when your items have been shipped using china airmail? What was delivery time?
Reason Im asking is because I purchased an item last sunday and it was dispatched monday, however the tracking information was just updated today to

departure from transit office of exchange

    what does this mean?

I buy a few things that use China airmail, The kids buy a lot from Deal extreme as well, never lost anything but they can take a while,
If you ordered last Sunday you might not get it in time for christmas.
I have found that roughly 3 weeks would be average. I have had better and worse but around 3 weeks i'd say.
All mail services will be flat out now and things will take a bit longer anyhow.

Departure from transit office of exchange means its passing from a sorting facility to a sorting facility in china. When it acually leaves china it will show as "departure from outward office of exchange" Once you see that status it can be anywhere from 1 week to 3 weeks before it gets here.

Our experience with China Air Post is time frame of around 4 weeks . - Therefore would reckon delivery mid January .

All you can do is keep an eye on it and check regular .

There is an interesting poll on this website below , to determine how long European customers have waited on China Air-Post deliveries :
    Check it out :

Hi I've always found china airmail fine - recently got 3 deliveries of small cheap goods and they arrived in around 10 days. That said there was nothing that would hold up the deliveries in customs. In the past I've waited over 3 weeks though! Hope you're not waiting for anything crucial for christmas or you might be dissappointed. Crazy post time of year unfortunately.
